Running With Scissors will be having a monthly Improv show at the Mayo Street Arts Center. This is going to be a great venue for Improv. It’s a beautiful old building that the owners have put a lot of love into. The shows are the 3rd Wednesday of each month starting at 8:00pm. Tix are only $7:00. We hope you can all make it to a show or two or three or four. We will see you there.

Check out The Wicked Good Bob Marley Show. We taped these shows a few months ago. They are half hour shows on the CW during the weekends. Shows start at 10:30pm or 11:00pm. Check your local listings for dates and times. I will post a copy of my show once I get my hands on it.

Just ran a 9 mile trail race on Bradbury Mountain on Sunday August 8th. If you don’t know what a trail race is, in a nut shell it’s a bunch of crazed runners running through the woods. This particular race is a ball breaker. (Hince the name Breaker) They cap the field at 160 runners which is nice and you tend to see the same runners at these trail races because Maine only has one trail running club. Check them out at www.trailmonsterrunning.blogspot.com  This race consisted of 2 laps up Bradbury Mountain. There was lots of roots, rocks, hills, trees, animals, bikers, hikers, and whatever else might be on a trail to contend with. I actually got stung by a bee about 15 minutes before the race. I hadn’t gotten stung by a bee since I was 12. I was hoping this wasn’t some kind of bad omen. But I actually had a good race and felt comfortable the entire run. I’ve kind of gotten hooked on this form of racing and it really is a blast. If you are runner of any type I really recommend trying a trail race. My GPS told me that I actually ran 8.37 miles at a 10:35 pace. So they said it was 9 miles..but it appeared to be a little shorter than that. Which was totally fine with me.

Get down to St. Lawrence Theater tonight on 76 Congress Street for the last night of the Portland Improv Festival. Tix are $12. There are three amazing groups on tonight.
1. Stranger than fiction from New Hampshire. They have a regular show every Tuesday night in Portsmouth.

2. Unexpected Company. Voted Providence Rhode Island best Improv group. This is a long form improv group with GREAT skills.

3. Running With Scissors. Your favorite local improv group with Tom Walsh, Dennis Hunt, Rachel Flehinger, and Tuck Tucker. A MUST SEE!
